Once again, hold the bell pull with the clapper loop down and the 8 strands spread out over your hand.
With the right-hand strand of the 2 nearest you, take a hitch around the left hand strand.
Working to the right, take the next strand and make a hitch around the second strand.
Continue, in a like manner around the bell pull until you get to the 8th strand. Pass the end of the 8th strand through the bight of the first.
Crown the 8 strands to the left.
The 1st strand (green, closest to you) is passed to the left around the bight of the 8th strand, then under its own part to the right parallel to the 2nd strand on the inner side, over the 3rd strand, and the end is then tucked down through the bight at the lower right “corner”.
